Cornmeal is meal from preliminary cleaned corn grains after removal of the shell and germ. Prepared and cleaned grains are shattered.

Three types of cornmeal are distinguished by the degree of grinding:

• wholemeal flour

• coarse meal

• fine meal

The raw materials used for the production of cornmeal must strictly comply with the standards and sanitary regulations.

Cornmeal is rich in fibre and has a balanced composition in terms of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. It is easily digestible and gluten-free. It is rich in B and A vitamins, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus.
